In the United States, there are only 27 states where the death penalty is an allowable conviction for especially heinous crimes of murder or terrorism. Tennessee, being one of those states, currently holds the youngest woman of her time who was convicted of the death penalty. The crime she committed was so brutal that an investigator quoted her as being "the most evil person" he'd ever met... at just 18 years old! All of the teens were supposed to be working towards a brighter future for themselves at the Job Corps housed on the University of Tennessee campus. After arriving, she phoned her mother about how disappointed she was, claiming that the walls were covered in graffiti, items were stolen from her room, and there was little supervision. She also told her about a group of 3 individuals who had been bullying her.

She meets Tadaryl Shipp, a student from Memphis, TN, and they quickly begin a relationship.
Christa lures Colleen out by promising to smoke weed in the woods off-campus. She had recently been heard telling someone that she just "felt mean."

When it was over, Christa bragged about what she'd done to several people, including friend Kim Iloilo. She would eventually testify in court and we learn that Christa was so excited about it, she was dancing and singing.
Christa would eventually be convicted of death. She continues to appeal the sentence.
