On November 7, 2023, day laborers hired by Samuel Haskell, IV, to move trash bags from his Tarzana home discovered what appeared to be part of a human body inside. Does the name sound familiar? That's because he's the son of renowned executive Sam Haskell, III, former head of the Williams Agency and CEO of Miss America, whose roots stretch back to Mississippi. His wife, a former Miss Mississippi whom he met while attending the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), has quite an impressive career in movies and television. Mrs. Haskell has remained active in Mississippi, having served on the Ole Miss Women's Council and was recently inducted into the Ole Miss Hall of Fame in 2023.
Their only son, Samuel IV, is now being accused of murdering and dismembering his wife and possibly her parents, as their bodies have yet to be found.

Samuel IV is accused of murdering his wife and her parents. Mei moved here from China to attend USC Northridge and met her husband in college. The two married shortly after graduating and have three young sons. Mei's parents moved from China into the couple's home to help them with the children. Mei was a consultant helping immigrant students navigate the American Education system.
Samuel IV is captured on surveillance dumping large trash bags into a dumpster and it is confirmed that human remains are found.
